Our safe return to the PSU campus

We are looking forward to returning to our downtown campus this fall. Preparations are in place for a safe resumption of in-person teaching and learning in the campus atmosphere we cherish. 

We also know that the COVID-19 pandemic is not yet over and that the quickly growing number of cases attributed to the coronavirus Delta variant is cause for concern. PSU remains in close contact with our public health partners and is committed to the health and well being of our students and employees. Our COVID-19 vaccine requirement is a testament to that commitment as the vaccines are our best defense against this virus and the clearest path toward a healthier future.  

I believe we can return to campus safely together, but it will require a commitment from all of us. PSU’s vaccine requirement is effective Sept. 7 and we ask that you affirm your vaccination status online as soon as possible. Masks are required in all campus buildings to protect your health and the health of those around you. If you test positive for COVID-19, please report it. We continue to do contact tracing, and by reporting your case you allow us to protect others by notifying them of their exposure. To learn more about COVID-19 cases on campus, visit our dashboard.

For those who prefer more flexibility, including the option to learn at home, PSU offers a variety of fully online courses and remote options such as Attend Anywhere, a new course modality that allows for both in-person and remote options for all classes. More than a quarter of fall term courses have options other than fully in-person and programs are continuing to fine tune offerings based on student needs. Review descriptions of PSU course delivery methods online with the office of the registrar.
