Black Lives Matter
The Disability Resource Center is firm in our commitment to interrupting racism, ableism, ethnicism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ageism, xenophobia, body shaming, and other systems of oppression and marginalization. Together, we demand justice and remain in solidarity with all members of the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) community, those demonstrating a call for real change, and folx whose intersecting identities are overlooked or denied through institutional injustice.
The Disability Resource Center staff are engaged in a process of collaborative education and are committed to taking action to address racism as it shows up within our office and in other spaces on campus. Time is of the essence, take action with us now to dismantle white supremacy in whatever ways you are able. We've provided some helpful links to get started below.
Our mission is to make university life accessible to students with disabilities. We identify, evaluate, and reduce or eliminate barriers to student access and equity. We foster community and create opportunities to promote disability culture.
We focus on building partnerships and infrastructure that incorporate the principles of universal design, social sustainability, and disability justice. We find creative solutions by proactively collaborating with students, faculty, and staff to develop an accessible and inclusive environment.

Give to the DRC
With the right resources, we are able to spend the time and money identifying and implementing the creative solutions needed to evaluate, reduce, and/or eliminate barriers to access and equity at PSU.
In particular, the DRC would benefit greatly from financial support to bolster our work in the areas of physical infrastructure and building accessibility, adaptive technology, student scholarships, and more!
