Payment of a $200 nonrefundable tuition deposit is the first step in the enrollment process for newly admitted undergraduate students.

Enrollment confirmation is required for students to register for New Student Orientation, secure a PSU ID card and register for classes. The tuition deposit will appear as a credit on a student’s first tuition bill. Financially eligible students are exempt from paying the $200 tuition deposit, but must still confirm they are coming to PSU prior to signing up for Orientation (see below for eligibility requirements). International undergraduate students are required to confirm their enrollment in order to sign up for Orientation, but will not be required to submit the $200 tuition deposit, see below for more information. 

All new undergraduate freshmen and transfer students are required to pay a nonrefundable $200 tuition deposit to confirm enrollment at PSU.

The priority deadline to confirm enrollment is June 1.

How to Confirm Your Enrollment

  1. Activate your student account if you haven’t already.
  2. Go to the Enrollment Confirmation portal and follow the instructions to confirm your enrollment. Payment is accepted online and only Visa and MasterCard are accepted. Your deposit will be applied to your first term tuition and will appear as a credit on your first tuition bill.

You will receive an email from PSU as soon as your tuition deposit has processed in our system and you are eligible to sign up for Orientation.

If you have activated your PSU student account, all correspondence regarding enrollment will be sent to your @pdx.edu email inbox. Be sure to check your PSU email account regularly or have your PSU email forwarded to your personal account.


Confirm Enrollment in the Honors College

Confirm My Spot in the Honors College

All new freshmen and transfer students admitted to the University Honors College for fall term are encouraged to confirm their enrollment by the June 1 priority deadline. If you plan to attend PSU and enroll in the Honors College you must confirm your spot in the Honors College and PSU.


Tuition Deposit Exemption Eligibility

The following populations are exempt from paying the $200 tuition deposit:

  • Students applying to PSU who selected "Fee Deferral" on the application payment page
  • International students
  • Students who are currently serving or have ever served in the U.S. Armed Forces

If you do not meet the eligibility requirements above but would like to be considered for the tuition deposit exemption, contact your admissions counselor.

International Students: International undergraduate students are required to confirm their enrollment in order to sign up for Orientation, but will not be required to submit the $200 tuition deposit. Admitted students who plan to enroll in the spring or fall terms should submit their enrollment confirmation as soon as possible. See the Orientation schedule. Not all sessions will display for every student, in order to view the sessions available to you, you must submit your enrollment confirmation and then login into the orientation system to view available sessions.


Graduate Student Enrollment Confirmation

Your enrollment confirmation will vary according to the program you have been admitted to. You will receive a notification from your graduate program if a deposit is required.
