Make the Most of Your Midday! Campus Rec is Ready for Community Time
This fall, Portland State University is introducing a designated Community Time block, Monday through Friday from 12:40 to 1:30 p.m., when no classes are scheduled. This initiative is all about fostering connections, supporting student groups, and encouraging student-faculty interactions.
So, the big question is: How will you spend your free hour?
At Campus Rec, we've designed programs specifically to fit perfectly into this new midday window, giving you a chance to move your body, de-stress, and connect with fellow Vikings! Say goodbye to a dull lunch break and hello to an energized midday. Our new community hour Group Fitness classes start at 12:50 p.m. and wrap up by 1:20 p.m. That’s 30 minutes of focused movement, leaving you time to transition before or after! Or Drop-in for a fun game of Pickleball. It's easy to learn, great for all skill levels, and a fantastic way to socialize. Grab a friend or come solo and meet new people!
