The Graduate Certificate in Project Management prepares engineers and scientists for leadership in project management. Project management responsibilities include understanding the role and challenges of projects in functional organizations, project-based organizations, and matrix organizations; being able to link project management to an organization’s strategy; understanding the roles and challenges of project managers in a wide variety of projects; appreciating the positive role of conflict in projects and mitigating its negative effects; conducting project planning, scheduling, resource allocation and estimating; and being able to audit and terminate projects.

The Project Management Graduate Certificate aligns with the Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge but unlike a basic workshop or online class, gives a thorough grounding in areas with talented professionals and researchers involved in extending the world of Project Management.
