Sit back and let Portland State University Wind Symphony's bold multimedia concert transport you into the magic and awe of the night sky and celestial phenomena. This collaboration between the PSU School of Music, School of Film and Theater Arts program will captivate your imagination with the interplay of the live symphony, stunning film footage and dynamic lighting, while retired NASA astronaut and US Air Force Colonel John M. Fabian guides the audience as concert emcee. The concert opens with a guest performance by the accomplished Sherwood High School Wind Ensemble.

John M. Fabian is a retired NASA astronaut and US Air Force Colonel. He flew two shuttle missions during his service in NASA. Following his trips on the shuttles John returned to the Air Force to serve as the Director of Space, Deputy Chief of Staff, Plans and Operations at USAF headquarters. John also served on the Presidential Coalition investigating the Space Shuttle Challenger accident, as well as the Presidential Coalition on Design of the International Space Station.
