Lisa Hawash is an Associate Professor of Practice and Master of Social Work Online Option Coordinator at Portland State University. She is also a co-founder of PSU's Homelessness Research & Action Collaborative. She received her M.S.W and B.S. from Portland State University. Lisa’s professional focus is in community based social work practice, systemic change, non-profit program management and leadership, and strategic fund development and communications. Lisa's social work practice and research interests are focused on poverty and homelessness, specifically access to hygiene for folks who are living outside. Since fall of 2019 she has been working in collaboration on the development of tent-sleeping and micro-shelter sleeping spaces in Corvallis, Oregon.
