Born and raised in Oregon, Laura Gurley (she/her) has been with PSU since 2009. She is a registered nurse (RN) at the Center for Student Health & Counseling (SHAC).
Laura has a bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Spanish from the University of Oregon. After working for two Certified Nurse Midwives in Olympia, Washington, she decided to return to school (OHSU) for an additional bachelor’s degree in Nursing. This was a great decision, as she is one of the lucky ones who has found her calling.
Prior to PSU she worked as a Medical Surgical RN at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.
In her free time, you can find Laura in her garden, reading, cooking, and this summer she plans to spend time on her stand up paddle board.
