Kavi Diaz is the Pre-College Program Coordinator in the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science at Portland State University. She joined PSU in early 2018 and focuses on supporting the CS for Oregon and Invention Bootcamp programs. Both programs share the goal of broadening the participation of under-represented high-school populations in STEM disciplines.
Kavi is a non-profit management and education specialist, with pedagogical training in Waldorf education for grades 1-8. Recently, she worked for Westside Waldorf School in Los Angeles, managing Admissions and Outreach for two campuses. Her past experience includes higher education institutions such as Rudolf Steiner College and UC Berkeley. Kavi is a Miami native, is fluent in Spanish, and is passionate about diversity issues.
