PSU History

I am a graduate from the School of Social Work class of 2014. After working in the field of policy for a few years I began teaching at the School of Social Work in 2017.

Experience

I have 7 years of direct social service working with adjudicated youth, youth aging out of foster care, and younger youth experiencing behavior issues. After working for 7 years in direct service, I switched to a macro focus of social work and have spent the last 7 years working in Government to make changes to policies that affect families in Oregon. My policy areas of focus are Human Service and Public Safety.

Academic/Research Interests

My academic interests is in public policy and engagement of social workers in the macro levels budgets and systems changes at the local, state, and federal level.

Personal Interests

My personal interests are of advocacy and support to local issues of interest. I engage in many groups of young advocates to make our communities better for the future.
