Multnomah County had been expected to move into Phase 1 reopening this Friday, as outlined by Gov. Kate Brown’s regulations for returning the state to active operations. As a result, PSU had planned to begin its gradual Return to Campus starting Monday June 15th. 

However, Gov. Kate Brown announced late Thursday evening that she was putting all county applications for further reopening on hold for seven days, saying, “This one week pause will give public health experts time to assess what factors are driving the spread of the virus and determine if we need to adjust our approach to reopening. I will work with doctors and public health experts to determine whether to lift this pause or extend it or make other adjustments." 

As a result PSU is postponing until further notice our move to Phase I of return to campus. Employees who had planned to return to campus starting Monday, including those who had been notified they were transitioning from Leave without Pay into the WorkShare Program and those planning to resume research operations, should await further direction.
