PSU Steinway Series: Benjamin Hochman Recital

The PSU Steinway Piano Series welcomes spring 2022 guest pianist Benjamin Hochman, winner of Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Career Grant, and celebrated for his “stylistic insight, elegance and sparkle” (The New York Times). Hochman will perform a recital featuring late piano works by Brahms, Schubert’s final Sonata, D. 960, and a WORLD PREMIERE by New York-based composer Tamar Muskal.

This event is part of the PSU Steinway Series, which brings internationally recognized performers and educators to Portland for a weekend of public recitals and master classes each year. Acting as a bridge between world-class stages and the college classroom, the series elevates awareness for PSU’s outstanding music program while providing students and concertgoers with access to a broad spectrum of the highest level professional pianists performing today.
