Imagine you, Anemone is an interactive installation which explores the form of the sea anemone and its relationship with algae. Sea anemone’s have a symbiotic relationship with algae which impacts the anemone’s coloration. Depending on environmental conditions, a sea anemone can vary in color patterning and intensity. Imagine you, Anemone takes the idea of environmental causation and places the audience as the trigger for change. As the viewer investigates the work with touch, they alter how the work is perceived.

By creating playful environments that are comfortably recognizable with a twist, Hildebrand-Chupp presents an opportunity for imagination, asking, how can we change our point of view on the objects and environments that we take for granted to create a new world?
