Welcome to Viking Days, a series of events and activities welcoming you to Portland State University's urban campus in fall 2026. Whether you're a brand new student discovering the PSU campus for the very first time or a returning student kicking off the new academic year, there are a number of events available to help you celebrate your start! All events are free and open to all PSU students and employees.

The New Student Orientation team welcomes you to your first day of school! Stop by for some free coffee, prizes from the bookstore, a campus map, or to chat with an academic adviser about last minute questions.

Night at the Rec

Come PLAY at Campus Rec during an action-packed Night at the Rec! Free and open to all PSU students. Meet our 30+ Rec Clubs and check out everything Campus Rec offers.

Party in the Park

Thursday, October 1

Join us in the PSU Park Blocks to learn about our amazing student organizations, leadership opportunities, jobs, internships, volunteering, and on-campus events.
