Welcome to Viking Days, a series of events and activities welcoming you to Portland State University's urban campus in fall 2026. Whether you're a brand new student discovering the PSU campus for the very first time or a returning student kicking off the new academic year, there are a number of events available to help you celebrate your start! All events are free and open to all PSU students and employees.

Friday, September 25, 12 - 1:30 PM

Join the Center for Student Health & Counseling (SHAC) to celebrate and welcome you to the new school year. Come eat FREE pizza, cotton candy, popcorn and more. Plus - build your own self care kit, play games, listen to music and learn about health and wellness services accessible to PSU students.

Monday, September 28 & Tuesday, September 29, 10 AM - 1:30 PM

The New Student Orientation team welcomes you to your first day of school! Stop by for some free coffee and sweet treats, prizes from the bookstore and other campus partners, a campus map, or to chat with an academic adviser about last minute questions.

Thursday, October 1, 11 AM - 2 PM

Hosted by the SALP and Campus Rec, Party in the Park is Portland State University's annual fall quarter student engagement fair. Join us in the PSU Park Blocks to learn about our amazing student organizations, leadership opportunities, jobs, internships, volunteering, and on-campus events.
