Since 2010, Marcy has served Portland State University with a mission to center mental health as a core facet to student success and wellbeing. Within SHAC, she and her team have created innovative practices to increase student access to mental health care such as same or next day access to counseling consultation appointments, expanding transgender health and mental health care services, enhancing group therapy, psychoeducation workshops, Mindful Moment for classrooms/meetings, and most recently, successfully transitioning all counseling services, including LD/ADHD evaluations, to a telehealth platform.

When not at SHAC you can find Marcy on the running trails (an annual Hood to Coast runner) with her family playing or watching soccer (go Thorns), on the pickleball court (trying to figure out how to stay out of the kitchen), baking, and/or reading.
