Ms. Sue Shinomiya, MBA, of Global Business Passport inspires cultural curiosity and inclusive leadership as a consultant, trainer, coach and writer. She empowers professionals and learners to connect, lead and thrive across cultures and differences of all kinds. She has delivered programs on a range of global, cross-cultural and inclusive leadership topics, and uses the Japanese concept of Ikigai as a visual purpose-finding and coaching tool. She has spent over a decade in Japan, including six years managing an on-site business and intercultural program for a US Corporation’s Japan headquarters. Among her clients have been Intel, Netflix, EY, Pfizer, Daimler Trucks North America, The Standard, KPMG, Adidas and Disney. She was previously an Adjunct Faculty member with Portland State University’s Master of International Management program and with International Special Programs. She proudly serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research (SIETAR USA), and is a corporate level member of the Japan America Society of Oregon (JASO). Understanding culture through interaction, travel, photography, nature and dance is her passion. Recent explorations have included Japan, Costa Rica, Morocco, Australia, Myanmar, Mexico, Thailand, Ireland and Malta. She lives in the Pacific Northwest in Portland, Oregon, USA.
