Yazhen (Sophie) Xiao is Associate Professor of Marketing and Fred Meyer Retail Research Fellow at The School of Business. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago and her Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University. Before pursuing her Ph.D., she worked as a marketing research manager and international education consultant. She has been a speaker at prestigious marketing and innovation conferences, and she co-chaired the Journal of Product Innovation Management Research Forum and the PDMA’s Doctoral Consortium, hosting innovation scholars and doctoral students from multiple countries.
Her research interests include innovation and new product development, digital innovation adoption, and healthcare services. She has published in refereed journals such as the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Service Research, Technovation, and Journal of Business Research.
