Katie (she/her) is a Portland local who joined the PSU team as a registered nurse with the Center for Student Health & Counseling (SHAC) in October 2025.
Katie earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Oregon before returning to study nursing at Oregon Health and Science University. Katie began her career in community health primary care and then found her passion in college health nursing, where she enjoys partnering with students to support their unique health and wellness goals.
In her free time, you can find Katie writing creative fiction and poetry, camping, hiking, or spending time with friends and family. She enjoys the summer months the most, but in the winter she likes to stay cozy with a good book.
