Professional Scope
As the Director of Faculty-Led & Custom Programs for the PSU Education Abroad & Off-Campus Programs Office in the Office of Global Engagement & Innovation (OGEI), I partner with faculty, academic departments, and leadership to design and execute high-impact, academically grounded international experiences. I oversee PSU’s custom education abroad portfolio end-to-end—guiding programs from initial concept and proposal development through budgeting, recruitment, risk management, logistics, and assessment. Grounded in access, safety, and continuous improvement, my work translates academic goals into sustainable global learning opportunities responsive to the needs of PSU students and faculty.
Background
With over 20 years in international and intercultural education, my expertise spans custom program leadership, intercultural learning design, and research-driven student support. I returned to Portland State University after serving as CEA CAPA’s Northwest Regional Director - building university study abroad partnerships, instructing global internships, and leading faculty development teams.

- Risk Management & Student Safety: Guide health, safety, accessibility, emergency response planning, and student support protocols.
- Portfolio Strategy & Assessment: Drive enrollment analysis, program evaluation, and data-informed improvements across international initiatives.
Global & Cultural Engagement
- Languages: English (Native); Spanish (Proficient)
- Global Experience: Academic specialization in Intercultural Relations; completed studies in Spain, taught English in Ecuador, and participated in cultural and vocational exchanges in Peru. Extensively traveled across Latin America and Europe, including Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Spain, Italy, and France.
