Emma (they/them) is a Family Nurse Practitioner that joined SHAC in 2024. Originally hailing from Michigan, Emma has undergraduate degrees in medical sociology and nursing, and trained to be a nurse practitioner at George Washington University.
Emma has worked in sexual and reproductive health for over 17 years and is deeply committed to health equity. Prior to moving to Oregon, they practiced clinical care while working on national and international health policy and research in Washington D.C. They currently hold a non-SHAC position at a local Harm Reduction Clinic.
In their free time, emma enjoys playing and listening to music, tending to their many plants, and wrangling their effervescent cat Idgie. Weekends are spent with friends and hiking to find the best waterfalls Oregon has to offer.
