About

Taghrid Khuri, PhD, currently serves as an adjunct professor at Portland State University, in the Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies and the Global and International Studies departments. She has been teaching at PSU for 25 years, both classroom and online courses. Besides university teaching, she has more than thirty years of multi-disciplinary experience in international development work and gender mainstreaming in government, non-government, not-for-profit organizations, private institutions, universities, the United Nations, and various international development organizations like Mercy Corps, Oxfam, and Care Intl. Her international career field experience covered some 35 countries in the Middle East & North Africa, Africa, and Afghanistan in Asia. She volunteered with the Human Rights Advisory Commission of the City of Beaverton and is currently a Board member of AACCO: the Arab-American Cultural Center of Oregon.
