Scott Nordstrom is a postdoctoral researcher at the Portland State’s Population Research Center. His current work focuses on small area estimation and other forms of statistical estimation with census data, including providing subpopulation estimates for local agencies. His research interests include migration, human geography, and formal demography. Prior to working at the PRC, he spent nearly a decade studying and working in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, studying demography, evolution, and population dynamics in theoretical contexts and empirically with wildflowers.
