PSU History

I started in a teaching role at PSU in 2016 as an Adjunct Instructor and joined full time as an Assistant Professor of Practice in 2020.

Experience

Since graduating with my M.S.W in 2001, my social work practice is concentrated in health care settings, specifically with pediatrics, pediatric hematology/oncology and pediatric palliative care. I have worked in a variety of integrated health settings including home-based hospice care, inpatient acute care and outpatient clinic-based care. My practice specialties include integrated behavioral healthcare, pediatric hematology/oncology (including sickle cell anemia), palliative care and social work in clinical ethics (pediatric bioethics). I am an active senior member of a community-based hospital’s pediatric clinical ethics consultation service here in Portland, Oregon. I also enjoy providing clinical supervision to social workers pursuing licensure.
