Professional Scope
As the Program Coordinator for the Office of International Student and Scholar Services (OISSS) in OGEI, I serve as a Level 1 Designated School Official (DSO) and first point of contact regarding immigration and student life matters as they relate to PSU’s international (F-1 and J-1) student and scholar population. In this role, I help to oversee front desk services for OISSS and the Education Abroad office and maintain the websites for a number of units within OGEI.
Prior to joining Portland State University in 2022, I worked at Clark College as an International Program Coordinator and as a Campus Minister with Bridges International at the University of Houston and Rice University.
How I Can Help
- Resourcing: Connecting stakeholders with the correct answer or the correct person who can give it to them. Specializing in information regarding immigration regulations, enrollment requirements, employment, and non-resident tax.
- On-Campus Employment Authorization: Helping students and supervisors understand regulations regarding international student employment. Can help with the PSU F-1 On Campus Employment Authorization Form, SSN applications, and various HR or tax-related documentation.
Global and Cultural Engagement
- Languages Spoken: English, Cantonese (moderate), Mandarin (basic)
- Global Experience: Studied in China; Traveled to India, Thailand, Finland, and Estonia.
