Professional Scope
As Assistant Director and Student Success Advisor for International Student & Scholars Services (OISSS) in OGEI, I work with international and other multilingual students on academic success matters, including academic challenges and difficulties in classes. I meet with students to offer help and support with challenging academic circumstances and to connect them to other campus services and resources.
My background is in second- and foreign-language acquisition, teaching both ESL, EFL, and French. Before joining Portland State University, I worked at Western Oregon University, Chemeketa Community College, and University of Oregon. I have worked at PSU since 2004 in several different capacities within international education.
