Mel (she/her) joined SHAC in November 2024. She earned her nursing degree at California State University, Chico. Throughout her career she has had the opportunity to explore various areas of nursing including inpatient, primary care, public school, and eventually was fortunate to combine her love of learning and healthcare as a college nurse at Reed College. She is very excited to continue caring for students at PSU. Mel is passionate about providing education and patient centered health care, and giving students the tools to continue bettering themselves on and off campus.
Mel is originally from Northern California. In her free time she enjoys backpacking, trail running with her dog, all things water, boogying at a bluegrass show, and globetrotting!
