I attended PSU School of Social Work as part of the first Advanced Standing cohort in 2005-2006. I stay connected with the School of Social Work through task supervision and then the Field Instructor role from 2006-2012. In Fall of 2020, I started teaching as an adjunct and am working as a Faculty Liaison for Field Education.
I spent 18 years as a front line social worker providing case management, resource brokering, education and advocacy to some of Portland's most vulnerable youth and families. I spent 6 years being a foster parent for the State of Oregon, providing a home for teenage girls. In 2014, I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and opened a private therapy practice. In addition to my private practice, I offer trainings in burnout prevention, trauma informed care and wellness.
Social Justice issues related to Youth and Families, spiritual integration in healing, Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal Theory and Mindfulness.
Gardening, cooking, puzzling, hanging with friends and family, being a mom to my daughter, watching my chickens, dog and cat as they explore the yard. Finding joy and beauty every day!
