Dr. Jingjing Chen joined The School of Business at Portland State University in 2023 as an Assistant Professor of Finance. She holds a Ph.D. in finance from Washington State University and previously taught at Northeastern University. 

Dr. Chen's research interests include empirical assest pricing, market microstructure, derivatives, and sustainable investment. She is currently working on research topics related to information shocks and assest prices, return anomaly and predictability, sustainable investment and regulations. She has published in the Journal of Banking and Finance. Her research has garnered recognition and interests in the academic community and financial industry. Dr. Chen is committed to contributing to student success through teaching a variety of courses including Investments, Corporate Finance, Financial Modeling, and Quantitative Portfolio Management. She is well-versed in teaching quantitative finance, programming, and data analytics, and has receieved a college-wide outstanding teaching award. 

Besides her academic work, Jingjing is active in outdoor activities, such as tennis, golf, biking, and hiking.
