Jenn Hartmann Luck, MFA (she/her) is the Producing Artistic Director of Oregon Children’s Theatre. She is a multi-hyphenate theatre artist, educator, director, producer, songwriter/composer, and arts leader with more than 25 years of experience in Theatre for Young Audiences and arts education. Before moving to the Pacific Northwest to lead OCT, Jenn served for nearly a decade as the Director of Partnerships and Programming for Education at the Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas. During that time, she served on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Performing Arts for Youth (IPAY), the Advisory Board for SXSW EDU, and as a Lecturer in the Department of Theatre & Dance at the University of Texas. Prior to her time in Austin, she worked with P.L.A.Y (Performing for Los Angeles Youth) at Center Theatre Group and spent additional years in New York City and Phoenix writing, performing, and teaching. As a creator of new musical theatre, Jenn is composer and co-lyricist of Gretel! The Musical, co-written with award-winning playwright, Suzan Zeder, as well as The Battlefields of Clara Barton, also with Zeder, developed with the American Music Theatre Project at Northwestern University. In collaboration with playwright Roxanne Schroeder-Arce, she premiered Lyric & the Keys at the Magik Theatre in San Antonio in 2024. Current projects in development include America’s Next Top Kid Chef Showdown with playwright José Casas, workshopped at NYU New Plays for Young Audiences in 2025, and a new work with Taya Dixon, the Native Performing Arts Network, and Bag & Baggage Productions, in Portland, Oregon. As a solo singer/songwriter, she has released three self-produced albums, including Raise Your Voices: Songs Celebrating the Kids Who Are Changing the World on her label, Lucky Hart Records. Jenn holds a BA in Theatre Performance from Arizona State University, an MFA in Drama and Theatre for Youth and Communities from the University of Texas at Austin, and is a member of TYA/USA, AATE, TCG, MAESTRA, BMI, and the Dramatist Guild. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Cultural Advocacy Coalition of Oregon and Theatre for Young Audiences | USA.
