Dr. Jen Morse received her Ph.D. in 2010 in ecology from Duke University and her postdoctoral training at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies in Millbrook, NY. She is a biogeochemist and ecosystem ecologist and enjoys collaborating across disciplines. Dr. Morse is broadly interested in 1) understanding ecosystem responses to environmental changes and 2) applying ecological knowledge to help inform environmental decisions, particularly with regard to restoration, sustainability, and managed ecosystems. Her research group focuses on the movement of nutrients (mainly nitrogen and phosphorus) and the production of greenhouse gases, in natural and human-modified ecosystems, including wetlands, streams, forests, agricultural, and urban ecosystems, using approaches from ecosystem ecology and biogeochemistry
