Jana Childes is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at Portland State University (PSU), as well as a Speech-Language Pathologist at the Oregon Health Science University Northwest Center for Voice and Swallowing. Her clinical interests include the evaluation and treatment of adults and children with voice disorders, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), aural habilitation for children with hearing loss and communication development for children who are tracheostomy and/or ventilator dependent. Jana enjoys the opportunity to provide both classroom and clinical instruction for students pursuing speech and hearing sciences. In her spare time, Jana enjoys running, cooking and exploring Portland with her family.
