Jamie Woods is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Portland State University and the Undergraduate Committee Chair. He earned his PhD at the University of California, Davis and joined Portland State in 2000. Jamie has been a consultant with the California Energy Commission and has taught at the University of the Pacific, Solano Community College, Washington State University, and Portland Community College. He has also worked on the Multnomah County Board of Commissioners and the Oregon School Boards Association.

 

Professor Woods’ teaching fields are in introductory economics, energy economics, and behavioral and experimental economics. His current research interests include household conservation behavior. When he isn’t teaching or advising students, he can be found in his kitchen creating food magic, in his garden growing the ingredients for his cooking or hiking out in nature.
