• What Trouble I Have Seen: A History of Violence against Wives (Harvard, 1996)

His articles have appeared in: African Identities, Africa Today, Ghana Studies, Ethnohistory, the Journal of Interdisciplinary History, the Mennonite Quarterly Review, the Museum Studies Journal, and Journal of Family Violence, and Environmental History, among others.  

President of Yo Ghana!, a 501c3 nonprofit that links schools in Ghana and the Pacific Northwest.
