American bass-baritone Daniel Mobbs has won praise on both sides of the Atlantic for his "solid, resonant voice and boundless energy...his stage presence virtually ensured that he was the focal point of nearly every scene in which he appeared," as written in the New York Times. He has performed over 100 leading roles with major opera companies all over the world, including the Metropolitan Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Los Angeles Opera, New York City Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, the Caramoor International Music Festival, Washington Concert Opera, Minnesota Opera, Opera Philadelphia, Portland Opera, Washington National Opera, and others.

Variously described by the press as having "a rich, mellifluous voice" (The New York Times), and a "clean, clear baritone" that "was a virile delight" (Palm Beach Daily News), Daniel Mobbs' "lightning-quick presence and bright, clean sound" (Opera News) and "elegant, cavernous tones" (Variety) are certain to keep delighting audiences for the foreseeable future.

Mr. Mobbs is on the voice faculty at the University of Portland, Portland State University.
