Dr. Sloan received her Ph.D. in Spanish and Portuguese literature from Vanderbilt University. She specializes in Luso-Brazilian literature, contemporary Spanish American novel, and Spanish American poetry. In addition to offering classes in the Spanish program, she directs the Portuguese language program at PSU.
