Cheryl (she/her) is an Asian-American licensed psychologist and the Coordinator of Diversity and Psychology Programs. Cheryl completed her bachelors at Skidmore College (NY), masters at Tufts University (MA), and her doctorate in clinical psychology at Pacific University (OR).
Her areas of clinical focus include stress, trauma, attachment/relationships, coping strategies, and intercultural counseling. She has been on the SHAC staff since 2005 and loves working with the students here.
Cheryl loves to learn and has completed specialized training in intercultural communication, attachment, trauma, EMDR, interpersonal neurobiology, Polyvagal Theory, integrative somatic trauma therapy, and supervision & training.
On a personal note, Cheryl enjoys food, travel, kayaking, Lego, embroidery, and cuddling with her cat.
