I began at Portland State University as a student and became an alumna in 2010 with a BS in Psychology. Since then, I have worked for several departments on campus including Applied Linguistics, Economics, the Challenge Program in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, and currently, as an Office Specialist in History with a focus on Marketing and Communications. My skills as a writer, editor, photographer, web and graphic designer, and project manager have infused all of my work.

I plan and execute events for visiting lecturers, including the History Colloquium-Workshop Series. I collaborate with the PSU Library and PDXScholar to maintain archived recordings of a diverse list of speakers on historical topics that reverberate through current events. I coordinate stories and images, which includes some of my own photography for our social media channels and biannual newsletters on faculty, students and emeriti, which I edit, design, and distribute electronically with interactive links. I also oversee departmental fundraising efforts for student scholarships and faculty research during Day of Giving campaigns, and create all of the promotional outreach that goes with these efforts across mediums from design to print to digital campaigns.

In my "free" time, I am writer in the larger, local community as a music journalist for Vortex Music Magazine where I’ve published long-form music journalism, cover stories, interviews, previews, and reviews for both print and online content. My partner David and I tend lush, native and perennial pollinator-friendly plantings, practice organic and regenerative gardening techniques, and create habitat and home for birds, native bees, and a host of insects and wildlife in our garden. We share our home with two Bengal cats named Willow and Xander, named for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer characters.
