Professional Scope
As the Administrative Program Assistant for the Office of International Student and Scholar Services in OGEI, I support non-degree and degree seeking international students at Portland State University.
How I Can Help
- Sponsored Student Support: Provide support to degree seeking students with a scholarship from an outside organization, usually a home government or embassy (documentation, sponsor communication, surveying as a liaison between sponsor and university).
- Student Life Support: Provide support to F-1 and J-1 international students (housing, cultural adjustment, campus involvement, and interpersonal challenges).
- New Student Services: Welcome incoming international students to PSU (orientation, mentor program, programming).
Global and Cultural Engagement
- Languages Spoken: English (birth language); Japanese (conversational)
- Global Experience: Lived and worked in Japan, studied abroad in Italy.
