Born a first-generation American to parents from Mexico and Nicaragua, I find my lived experience guiding me every day of my life. From graduating with a Bachelor’s from Gonzaga University to now working at the Center for Improvement of Child and Family Services for 4 and ½ years, this lived experience has helped me identify values that I work hard to incorporate not only in my position, but my life. Elevating community voice, promoting belonging, and fighting for equity overall as well as in research are personal goals and values that I hope to achieve in every project I am a part of. Projects I’m often involved in outside of work include developing travel itineraries for myself and family as well as improving my receiving for my recreational volleyball team.
