PSU History

Prior to joining PSU, Aimee worked for 22 years in the field of child welfare as a caseworker, court worker, trainer, consultant, and coordinator. 

Experience

Aimee spent five years supporting development of the Child Fatality Prevention and Review Program. In this program, Aimee built expertise as a safe systems practitioner, applying safety science in child death reviews. Aimee co-authored two conference poster presentations related to Oregon's safe systems analysis and safe systems mapping processes. Aimee has a deep knowledge of safety culture and its importance in child welfare and across human services. Aimee currently holds certifications in Critical Incident Stress Management and QPR suicide prevention.  

Academic/Research Interests

Aimee has a passion for workforce development and wanted to support child welfare professionals at the beginning of their careers.

Personal Interests

Aimee loves to travel and is always looking forward to the next adventure. She is an avid reader/audiobook listener and also likes to cook and garden. Aimee and her family enjoy camping, hiking, and paddling in the beautiful Oregon summers.
