Portland State President Ann Cudd joined with 150 other university leaders in joining the Excelencia in Education’s Presidents for Latino Student Success network.

The network, formed in 2014, comprises a group of presidents and chancellors who have committed to making their campuses learning environments where Latino students — and all students — thrive.

Through the network, President Cudd will collaborate with Excelencia, an accelerator for Latino success in higher education on a national level, and other postsecondary leaders to leverage collective expertise and resources, foster partnerships, and amplify current efforts to accelerate Latino student success on college campuses.

“Institutional leadership focused on intentionally serving Latino, and all, students is the hallmark of the presidents and chancellors in this network," said Sarita Brown, co-founder and president of Excelencia in Education. “We are proud to catalyze and support them as they advance student success and grow talent for our country’s bright future."

“I am grateful for this opportunity to work with other university leaders to establish and share best practices as PSU embraces its identity as a Minority Serving Institution and as our Latino student population continues to grow,” said PSU President  Ann Cudd. “It is my goal that every PSU student embraces their belonging on campus, comes to believe in their academic potential, and graduates to become what they dream of becoming.”
