Portland State University was once again named among the best 126 Western colleges and one of the best 387 colleges in the nation by The Princeton Review, which released its annual rankings this week.

Rankings are based on student surveys that ask students to reflect on their university’s academics, college life, fellow students and themselves. Colleges on the list are not given a numerical ranking.

PSU was also ranked No. 15 of the top 50 Green Colleges this year, the highest rank on that list for any Oregon university.

The Green Rating score is based on institutional data about sustainable campus life, how environmentally responsible a university’s policies are and how well students are prepared to join the workforce in a green economy.

The Princeton Review is headquartered in New York City and serves as a college admission services company, offering test preparation, admission resources, online courses and books. It publishes an annual ranking of colleges and universities in the United States.
