At PSU, the length of micro-credentials can differ, making it easier for you to find something that best matches your interests and time availability. These programs can range from a single term to a more extended period of up to one year.

Microcredentials at PSU are offered in a variety of formats. Each microcredential offering lists participation modality and requirements.

Microcredentials are offered to university-enrolled students at no additional cost, providing valuable learning opportunities without an additional financial burden.

2. Click "Earn Badge" on the Credly microcredential page.

3. You will receive an email confirmation of your registration and information on how to get started from the microcredential instructor.

These microcredentials are designed for PSU faculty and staff interested in expanding their professional capabilities. PSU-enrolled students are offered a separate catalog of non-credit microcredential offerings.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

There is no cost for faculty and staff to enroll in these microcredentials.

WHAT KIND OF SUPPORT WILL I RECEIVE?

If you have questions about registration, the Office of Academic Innovation will be happy to help. Once you have enrolled, please contact the microcredential instructor with any questions. Once you have completed the microcredential and earned the badge, please contact Credly for further support.

WHAT IS A DIGITAL BADGE?

Digital badges are a verifiable representation of an award, accomplishment, acquired skill, or competency. Badges describe the acquisition process at a glance for colleagues, connections, and employers.

HOW DO I GET MY BADGE?

After completing the microcredential requirements, you'll receive a digital badge that demonstrates evidence of your discipline-specific knowledge to employers. Portland State University will upload your information to Credly, the world's largest digital credential network, within two weeks. 

WHAT CAN I DO WITH MY BADGE?

The badge can be placed on your resume, social media platforms, and job-hosting sites. Your badge will make this additional piece of your professional journey visible to colleagues, connections, and employers.
