Jack Skellington is the beloved Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, but after another year of frights, he’s feeling something is missing. His search takes him on a journey through different seasons and holidays, and when he discovers Christmas, he can’t stop dreaming about it. Soon all of Halloween Town is swept up in his plan to bring the holiday home, with some unexpected (and delightfully spooky) results.
Steps PDX puts its own twist on this beloved story, telling it through Ballet, Modern, Hip-Hop, Tap, Breaking and Ballet Folklórico, with original choreography from our faculty. Our youngest dancers and our most advanced performers share the stage with guest artists and our DanceAbility dancers, all working together to create something that belongs to everyone who comes through our doors.
It’s a show for the whole family: a little spooky, a lot of heart, and made possible by our dancers, their families, our volunteers and all of you.
