Join us for our Show & Tell Design Lecture Series as we welcome Elliott Snyder and Jesse Morrow
Old Friend is a branding studio created by Elliott Snyder and Jesse Morrow. They partner with brands they believe in and are excited to spur forward creatively. They get to know their clients, get down to the core of who they are and what they’re passionate about, then give movement to it through design.
Native to the Pacific Northwest, Elliott’s design career started with selling air guitars with “Certificates of Authenticity” to his parent’s friends. Some years later, Elliott worked at the global strategy and branding agency Hornall Anderson, where he gained experience working with brands like Amazon, Pepsico, Alaska Airlines, and a variety of others. A love for smaller, more hands-on projects led him to full-time freelance work and then to the creation of Old Friend with Jesse. He occasionally takes breaks from design, going on trips that are way-too-far in way-not-ideal vehicles.
Jesse’s experience stems from years of curiosity. Through the trial and error of forming different creative ventures, he taught himself design and photography. Before Old Friend, Jesse worked for Facebook’s Creative Shop using visual communication to form marketing strategies for brands such as Airbnb, Apple, Coca-Cola, and 7-Eleven. The curiosity continues with a recent move to Portland, OR, diving head-first into local hobbies such as collecting film cameras, taking walks in the woods, and a constant search for the best tater tots in town."

Show & Tell is PSU Graphic Design’s lunchtime lecture series where working design professionals stop by to blow our minds with their wisdom. Our lectures happen (nearly) every Thursday during the school year at noon Pacific time, and are hosted by the students of DES 125 Show & Tell.
