Several student authors featured in Sharing Stories of Hope and Transformation in U.S. Higher Education will be sharing from their contributions to the e-book at its launch party on Wednesday, October 23, from 2:00 to 3:30 at La Casa Latina (228 Smith). Light refreshments will be provided.
Edited by Óscar Fernández and David Peterson del Mar, the book features life stories, poetry, art work, and videos from twenty-four members of former Freshman Inquiry courses on Immigration, Migration, and Belonging on how they dealt with challenges such as immigration, intergenerational trauma, and complex identities.
Everyone is welcome to this free event, which promises to provide a window into the challenges that so many PSU students face, and their courage and resilience in confronting them.
