Without the book’s publication in 1623, nearly half of Shakespeare’s plays would have been lost, including Julius Caesar, Macbeth, Twelfth Night, and The Tempest. The show highlights Shakespeare’s legacy in the education and entertainment of young people, in film, and in popular culture. On View: April 6 to May 19This event is part of Shakespeare’s First Folio: 1623–2023, a public humanities project staged by Portland State University and other regional arts organizations from September 2023 through May 2024. colleges & schools arts, culture & entertainment local events
