Dr. Angela Spencer is a health researcher who uses multiple methods to implement and scale up evidence-based practices in community and healthcare settings. She has over 10 years’ experience in global health research. She most recently worked with researchers from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), University of Washington (UW), and University of Cayetano Peruana Heredia from 2016-2023 to implement evidence-based interventions to control infectious disease in rural Northern Peru. Dr. Spencer was raised in Northern California and Northeastern Oklahoma. She is a Cherokee Nation citizen and first-generation college graduate. She moved to Oregon after completing her BA in Psychology at Western Colorado University.
