A  Synth Library at CETI Presentation

Explore the tools and techniques of hardware-based video art! No computer is required in the immediate, tactile world of video synthesizers. In this hands-on workshop, discover and play with various systems designed to exploit the unique properties of video. Surf the infinite waves of video feedback. Expand the visual language of motion pictures with glitches and other mutations. Meditate on the sublime geometries of oscillographics and vector-based video.

Aaron F. Ross will share his recent work in culture jamming with extreme analog image processing. This work critiques society and the human condition through deconstructed mainstream film and TV. Aaron will also lead an open conversation on topics such as video aesthetics, the abstract genre of "visual music," and the current renaissance in video synthesis tools. Then, playtime begins! Aaron and other artists are happy to answer questions and demonstrate techniques.
