Calendar Bel Canto Opera is being celebrated in August at the CantiamoPDX Bel Canto Festival, presented by PSU School of Music & Theater. Participants will discover the fascinating techniques that continue to shape this classical Italian style of singing today. The festival includes two free public master classes with Metropolitan Opera singer Daniel Mobbs and conductor and musicologist Will Crutchfield, culminating in a final concert on Sunday, August 16 at 4:00 PM where the students of CantiamoPDX bring these beautiful techniques to life through stunning duets by Bel Canto Masters.
